Start the process with delay

Question

Hello,

Is there any opportunity to start another process or another step of a process with a timeout?

Right now I see two opportunities:
1) two processes: User starts process 1 => process two will be started in one hour
2) one process: User starts process 1 => step 1 is setting a one hour delay for "$.done" => process 1 step 2 will be started in one hour

Unfortunately, I don't know how to implement any of these scenarios in BPM. Could you please help me?

Hello Georgii,
I'm not quit sure, I got your understanding of 'process'. If we speak about processes with enaio BPM, so you can set time periods for a process model. There are deadlines - not what you are looking for - and delays - might solve your problem.

Yes, that is exactly what I mean. The question is: is it possible to set these delays dynamically in the BPM script? If not, is it then possible as a workaround to set a delay at 30 days but fire it from the script earlier?

"The fire date of a time period is the date and time that the time period was started, plus its defined duration. You can use a script to change the fire date to a specific date, earlier or later than what was calculated at the time period start.
