Change DMS sidecar URL after the installation

Hello dear enaio-development Team,

could you please tell me, whether it is possible to change the sidecar URL for the DMS service after the installation? I forgot to set it during the installation process and now I'm curious whether I can change it, without reinstalling the service.

Hi Umar,

yes it is possible to change the sidcar-url. First of all, stop the dms-service.
To change the value, please open the "install-LocalPreferences.timestamp" in folder "installpath/dms-service/standalone/configuration".

Edit the sidecar-url in the file, save the file and rename it to "install-LocalPreferences.properties". Finally restart the dms-service.

thank you for the detailed reply! I followed your instructions and was able to edit the settings.

I have multiple enaio installations, however, and on some of them these files are missing and I am quite sure, I didn't delete them.

Can i simply copy the file from another system and edit the configuration according to my setup?

just try, but it's strange that the files aren't there. Is it a cleanly installed system?
