Does DMS Installer in CLI mode create the database?

Hello dear enaio-development Team,

could you please tell me, whether the DMS Installer creates the database, when run in the CLI mode?

I tried it today, and, unfortunately, it didn't work as expected - the database was not created during installation process and the database initialization failed.

Once I created the database (manually) with the name, provided as a command-line argument for the installer, and ran the create-db-tables - the DB was immediately filled with data, without any issues.

The SQL-User for DMS has all necessary permissions (i used the user to create the DB myself).

Maybe there is a flag like "create the database" for the installer?

Hello Umar,

the dms-service setup expects the database itself to already exist - no matter if in CLI or GUI mode. The initialization of the database done during the dms-service setup only creates tables and indices (and configures the snapshot isolation level).
